At the moment, we're proud of Sinema. I believe she and Manchin would actually switch parties except that it would take the spotlight off of them. I don't know what the future holds for those two, but at the moment they are favoring liberty.
As if we needed any more proof that the US chamber of commerce is anything but a GQP operation whose sole purpose is give Con-Dem infiltrators cover to tank bills/agendas.
Related and not related to all of this is the debt ceiling. Republicans are insisting debt ceiling should be done with reconciliation but there may not be enough time so if they really push it all the way then democrats will have no choice but to… and this is beautiful… end the filibuster to pass raising the debt ceiling.
Ordinarily a nice way to call Turtle Mitch's bluff, it'd be nicer if we had 50 votes (I'm ignorant if we need simple or 2/3's to nuke filibuster) and not several DINOs on record saying they'd never get rid of it.
