He is being criticized by many for being out of the office on paternity leave during a critical period. He pushes back by defending paternity leave and what the benefits of it are and how he is entitled to be home breastfeeding or whatever.
THAT'S ALL CRABWALK BULLFEATHERS.
He in fact undermines all of the advocates of paternity/family whatever leave. The arguments for have always been that responsible individuals can put together plans for to have their work covered while they are gone and that by taking responsibility for doing this and having a successful outcome it demonstrates and confirms that it can be done more routinely.
His critics, myself included, but certainly others closer to the action moreso, are complaining, not that he was out, but they had no frigging clue who the point person was on supply chain issues.
He tries to bullshiite us by admonishing us for not being sufficiently woke. That's horsefeathers. If you are supervising air traffic controllers down at the regional airport and you are going out on paternity leave- fine- what's the plan to cover your duties while you are gone and who is the go-to person. Oh, I see, the plan is, "talk to me when I get back." Thus confirming some people's resistance to the whole family leave thing. Not what progressives are supposed to be all about.
