agreed, it wasn't the grin, it was the jumping in his seat and the open interruptions. I'm just gonna get this in before - ROMNEY DID IT! Romney was adamant about finishing what he was saying and he even threw in a little comedy and genuine smile to come across as friendly. Biden was intent on not letting ryan finish and he acted like an arrogant, hostile dbag several times, with moderator approval.
 
After watching both debates I still don't know what the Romney/Ryan plan is to 1. Increase employment/prosperity 2. Reduce the debt 3. Cut taxes (revenue neutral ??)
I did get it that if you are 50 years old then Medicare isn't going to be there for you even if you've paid in for 30 years.
 
The group of independent voters Frank Lance is questioning it seems they are somewhat angry about Biden's rudeness and the moderator interupted Ryan a lot more than Biden and that she didn't try to control Biden's interuptions.

Otherwise they seem to think the debate was close to a draw.

One lady mentioned that Biden's lack of respect will stick in her mind.

I have to agree. Basically the debate was a draw.

The question becomes if Biden's constant smirking turns out to be the fodder for comedians and the primary news story out of this debate -- or if the MSM will cover the actual policy substance.

You have no ability to retain info. But since u brought it up, what is the obama/biden plan?

And medicare won't be there at some point because it ISN'T sustainable.. it's just math.. arithmetic.
 
Anyway, speaking solely for myself, a very tiny demographic indeed, I liked Ryan tonight for his remark about the people who make under $250K annual income but still got a tax increase. These increases that came with the Affordable Care Act were unnoticed by most people. they seem to target people with disposable income, even though they may not meet the typical definition of "rich". I've arrange my life an finances in a way that allow me enough disposable income to got to tanning salons, gyms, taverns, buy a new car, etc., but it's because of a reasonably well paying job, prudent investing and frugal living. There is nobody in Washington to represent my interests, so to hear Ryan hit on those hidden tax increases was like a catharsis. I've never voted Republican before, but it looks like I'm going to do it this year.

It's the voters who are unable to determine the facts that scare me. Oh, did I mention those who rely on the MSM for their "facts"? That scares me even more!:eek:
