Who says fake news doesn’t work, especially after a constant two year stream of it. Fake news creates the public opinions that polls measure. Fake polls are also used to influence people’s opinions. Parroting aside, the Democrats divide by using identity politics and anti-American rhetoric, while Trump is attempting to better the lives of all Americans by building a stronger economy.

Trump slams Fox News over recent polling

President Trump criticized Fox News on Sunday over its recent polling, saying he doesn't "believe" the polls in recent days that have suggested he's losing ground to Democratic rivals and his disapproval rating is on the rise.

"I don't know what's happening with Fox," he told reporters as he prepared to leave New Jersey, saying he doesn't "believe" the polls.

"Fox is different. There’s no question about it," he said, adding that he's "the one calling the shots" on the general election debates.

Trump also would not directly answer questions about whether he'll debate in 2020.

A Fox News representative was not immediately available for comment.

A Fox News poll released Thursday showed Trump losing head-to-head match-ups against four top Democratic presidential primary candidates.

The poll found Trump trailing Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) as well as former Vice President Joe Biden.

Another poll showed his disapproval rating rising to a near record.

Earlier in the day, Trump lashed out at Fox News political analyst Juan Williams, calling him "pathetic," "nasty" and "wrong."
 
Fake polls do not change reality! Just because liberal media can continue to put out bogus polls designed to discourage Trump voters, it won't work! As a Trump voter, no way in hell will I vote for any of the Democrat clowns running to be President of the United States! They do not even qualify as dog catcher! Actually, it motivates and energizes us Trump voters to work even harder to make sure he is re-elected into a 2nd term! Sorry, foreign trolls, you do not get a vote!

Trump’s disastrous trade war has wiped out his polling advantage on the economy

A new Wall Street Journal/NBC poll has bad news for President Trump on the economy.

To start, his net approval rating on the economy is down to a mere three percentage points — 49% of registered voters approve while 46% disapprove. This is a big drop from the 10-point edge he had in early May (51%-41%), and an even bigger dropped from the 16-point edge he had last July (50%-34%).

This drop of support on the economy has brought his overall approval rating to its lowest level of the year — 43% — according to the Wall Street Journal. At the same time, 55% said they disapproved of Trump.

Some 9% of voters support Trump’s handling of the economy but don’t approve of him overall. But in a “warning sign for Mr. Trump,” the Journal notes that those voters “prefer a Democratic candidate over Mr. Trump by 73% to 5%.”

Why have Trump’s ratings on the economy dropped? As CNBC explains in the lead to its story on the poll, “Add President Trump to the list of those hurt by his trade war.”

In fact, Trump’s disastrous tariff-driven trade war with China hasn’t just hurt Americans in the pocketbook and caused volatility in the stock market. It has actually made Americans more supportive of free trade.

Near the start of his presidency, Americans’ net approval of free trade was 20 percentage points — 57% supported it and 37% opposed. Today, that net approval is a whopping 37 points, as 64% support but only 27% oppose.

That change “was driven most sharply by political independents,” reports CNBC, “who now embrace free trade by a 77%-15% margin.”

The bottom line is that whatever advantage Trump thought he was going to get in the election from his handling of the economy and his trade war with China has all but vanished.
