Biden 2020

3rd parties are just throwing your vote away and then letting the people you hate sitll get elected...

Congress matters way more for change so rather than throw your vote away in the Presidential election, pick one and be more active in your local elections.

Trump promised a wall mexico would pay for and that Clinton would be locked up and all sorts of shit right?
His GOP Congress was not on board so none of that shit got done.

Throwing our votes away? How about we all “throw” our votes away? Look at congressional approval ratings and direction of country polls. Sub 20%, the last time I saw.

Look at the mental, emotional, physical, and general competence of our Presidential candidates. The presentation of these candidates by the parties is a slap in the face of voters. The parties should have enforced membership standards.

Our system is in failure mode. We should analyze the events and reasons for this failure and create a new system of developing leadership that addresses them.

I have specific ideas on how to go about this, including funding, promotion, and politician development.

You interested in the idea of creating a viable and competitive third party?

Anyone else?

Bubba knows how to get immediate relief from a stiff neck out on the road.

And anything else that might be stiff.

Wayyy to go Bubba. You a national treasure.

Clinton, then 56, had complained of having a stiff neck after falling asleep on Epstein's infamous private jet, nicknamed The Lolita Express, while on a humanitarian trip with the pedophile to Africa in September of 2002.

One could also take points you made but make the opposite argument: that one of the reasons why both parties get away with not keeping their campaign promises is because they know that their bases have other place to go even if they are unhappy with that. ie. there are not alternative parties.

True, but the alernative parties that do exist really are not a viable alternative so they are stuck with it.

But I still say a GOP base will get all worked up for the Prez and pretty speeches but they care more about regioanlyl keeping their seats in the House and Senate so even if they lose the Prez election they have their platofrm represented.

There is no such thing as a viable 3rd party....

There is nothing wrong with the parties, it is just the fuck clowns they keep putting up for presidential elections. If you want to make a difference you need to focus on your House or Senate representation where shit gets done, not a national election where a 3rd party is useless.

Who had this picture? The whole thing is probably on tape.

Some of these things run in cycles as far as how they play out.

I have said a couple times before that occasionally I think the parliamentary system has its advantages whereby the majority party has strength but they still usually must cobble together support from minority parties to get a majority. So voting for a minority party does not automatically mean that you are handing a victory to the other party because the minority party can still collaborate to forma a coalition with other parties which often allows them to punch above their weight.

As I said though, how these systems play out runs in cycles. I would not wish the way the British parliamentary system has played out the last couple years on to anyone. Totally dysfunctional, parliamentary gymnastics and games from morning to night, governments rising and falling, Brexit up, Brexit down, etc. etc. More gridlock than even the Americans have in an ultra-divided time.
