Biden 2020

So, at some point in the DNC Jerry Lewis Telethon, Barry is going to show up and give the same speech that Mooch did which is to say: We need to act like it is 2008 agaim even though it is not 2008 and Joe is not Barack Obama and Donald Trump killed my father by injecting him with covid.

There. Just saved you from watching something that you were never even remotely thinking of watching anyway.

WOMP....womp...womp.

Usually, a party gets a small or a high but very quick-then gone bump from a convention so I almost posted something about that when Usual Tard or someone was hyping a kamala harris bump. But I am not going to even bother. Show me the bump first, then I will do that. The viewership of this little "convention" is almost exactly half of a normal convention. Arguably it will be low for the republicans too but the republicans have always said that that virtual stuff is worthless and have tried and are getting Trump out and about.

Mooch speaks at length from a tape she did before the vp was picked. No mention or hyping of Kamala Harris. Very poor and nasty form there. Just drops her tape off at the convention and heads to Martha's Vineyard, like Bill Clinton dropping off his porn tapes on a monday morning after the weekend.

Some of these things run in cycles as far as how they play out.

I have said a couple times before that occasionally I think the parliamentary system has its advantages whereby the majority party has strength but they still usually must cobble together support from minority parties to get a majority. So voting for a minority party does not automatically mean that you are handing a victory to the other party because the minority party can still collaborate to forma a coalition with other parties which often allows them to punch above their weight.

As I said though, how these systems play out runs in cycles. I would not wish the way the British parliamentary system has played out the last couple years on to anyone. Totally dysfunctional, parliamentary gymnastics and games from morning to night, governments rising and falling, Brexit up, Brexit down, etc. etc. More gridlock than even the Americans have in an ultra-divided time.

End the filibuster and the American system would be far superior to the parliamentary system.

America is designed to be in a constant state of revolution. New laws enacted, repealed and overhauled in accordance with the majority then reviewed by way of elections and cycled through.

Ouch.

I don't think she did but she did word it in sort of a discombobulated, kerfluffley way that invites misunderstanding.

What she was doing was seconding Bernie Sanders nomination of Joe Biden.

Most of the dems are drinking the same kool aid that she is so they probably understood. For the rest of us, we only know what we hear.
