Bezos Is Stepping Down

Is going from CEO to executive chair a downgrade, upgrade, or just a lateral transfer?
My understanding, CEO looks after more the technical aspects of the business while chairman has responsibility for more of the business plan.
Chairman is often listed first in annual reports ahead of CEO but that imo doesn't diminish a CEO's importance of running a business.
Pay scale, not sure but I would think a CEO' role would be busier due to looking more at the nuts and bolts of a business.
I could be wrong, this is my impression.

Hmm, I would call that an upgrade for the company then, because Bezos knows how to implement a business plan. Right Alexa?

"Sorry, I don't know that."

Alexa! What is Bezos's business plan?

"Sorry, I don't know that."

ALEXA! WHO is JEFF BEZOS?!?

"Jeff Bezos is...stand by, updating...updating...Sorry, I don't know that."

Alexa, thanks for nothing.

"You bet!"

Hes Only doing this to focus on his space endeavors....trying to lay out that space race for the possibility of one day making space living a reality. But damn we are hundreds and hundreds of years away from that ever happening, yes I'm the one who thinks this is just another hyped up many many trillion dollar unicorn at the moment just because they can grab people's attention and dollars to think space living will be a reality sometime in the next decade. Not going to happen the way the game plan is set up in my opinion. But when you have hundreds of billions and rockets, people will think oh damn we will be living in space, so here take my money and sign me up.
