Mav, the Hardware and Software Forums are one of the few areas here on ET that involve intelligent ( and more often than not ) valuable discussion . . . as opposed to all of the absurd posts that litter the Trading Forum. Glad to see the quality of content on the Hardware Forum remain high.
As for Speedtests my Comcast Blast Service ( $52.95 per month ) from the West Coast shows the following dl/ul speeds near today's market close:

Spend the extra $10 per month ( $52.95 ) and you can get the Comcast Blast Service.
At the very least you will double your download speed, and increase your upload by 9 X's.
It's well worth it!
NOTE: Be sure to make certain that if you are using a Router that the router is fairly new. I was using a 4 year old Belkin router which is the exact same model as produced today. However, they are now up to Version 4000 and mine was Version 1000. Even though I updated with new "firmware" from Belkin's website, my Version 1000 4-port ( hardwired ) Router was actually "capped" at 7.4 MB's per second due to its weak ass processor. I got a new Router ( from Airlink ) which I had read favorable reviews on and it allowed me to really realize the potential of my comcast broadband. I owe a lot of credit to ET poster Dustin for this because he was the one that turned me on to the issue.
You can buy us both a beer the next time you are in San Francisco!

I am going to go with the Cogeco enterprise package for now and if I am unhappy with it, I will look into the fiber or t1. I feel a lot more comfortable knowing that I am already trading on cable and, even though it is annoyingly slow at times, I am still able to trade fine on it the majority of the time. I think the issue may be with the software some of the time anyway.
