Best Charting Software?

NinjaTrader is just too good and customizable with ninjascript to give up for Mac users, so a vps from https://www.ninjamobiletrader.com/ is the solution. NinjaTrader is always running on the server and I connect to it remotely on Mac and switch between Mac and iPhone instantly. Unlike other cheap vps providers, this one specifically does not feel and slowness or lag for rdp. Worth every penny.

For Mac users, MotiveWave is the best I think. For PC users, NinjaTrader or Sierra Chart are better bets. I purchased MW only because I wanted to trade on Mac. Otherwise, I would have selected SC or NT. MW was buggy but many have been fixed in the latest build. However, MW is most expensive among these three.

MW is a java software meaning it's running on linux too
It's interesting if for any reason you have to change platform (windows, mac, linux) and your data is in the cloud so you connect from everywhere in the world
Also there is a free trial and a free community edition

I ´m also using medvedtrader currently and like it very much. What i dislike is the seperation between daily and intraday charts. You can´t switch from a 5m chart to a daily chart and have to open a so called historical chart. When i first opened the chart i did not like what i saw because the charts looked not pretty and were very tight to the right side. But you can adjust all. The space between the end of the chart and the right side, colors of the bars, backround.
What could be improved are the drawing capabilities. It´s a little bit laborious and not so good as in Ninja or tradingview. What i also find laborious is compressing the chart to get a good overview. You have to click on (-) or ctrl (-) on your keyboard. In Ninja i can push the chart together at the down side of the chart. So that was my impression of medvedtrader.

As a note, all of MotiveWave's editions include the ability to connect to as many brokers and data feeds as you want. So, if comparing apples to apples, MotiveWave's Professional Edition (which is most directly comparable to Ninja) is cheaper than NinjaTrader's multi-broker license -- $1495 for MW vs. $1649 for Ninja.

you don't have to use the +/- on the keyboard. You can also use the mouse wheel. By default the mouse wheel will scroll the chart and if you hold down CTRL key, mouse wheel will zoom in/out. If you wish to make it the default, without the CTRL Key, you can do that - SETTINGS / CHARTS / GENERAL - select the "Mouse Wheel Zooms" option

Try Quantower if you haven't done so already. Its sleek interface and design look impressive to me. They say they are developing Mac version too. AMP provides full version of Quantower for free to their CQG clients.

And you should mention that MW has more powerful Elliott Wave and Harmonic pattern studies. Elliott Wave players should be happier with MW....:)

I didn´t know this. Thanks for your help.

But this does not apply to the standard edition and the orderflow edition. Only the proedition can connect to more than one broker simultaneously.

@MotiveWave: I'd like to know if it's considered to develop an Android/iOS app for following/modify opened trades on a mobile phone ? Just basic operations
Is this a feature other traders would be interested in ?
