I think that might be something of an overstatement. Consider blueberries, for example. My limited understanding is that fruit has a place in a healthy, balanced diet.

As superfoods go, would you include ground flaxseed, for its lignans, high omega-3 content and fiber?

blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries...frozen bags.

sprinkle on your large leafy green salad

don't get much better

:D

Burned 210 calos on the treadmill in half an hour, then did about 40 minutes of weight lifting.

In regards to the above comments on nutrition, it all sounds good. The problem is, unless I want to live alone for the rest of my life, I don't think having re-fried black beans every day is a good idea.

Black beans especially are a very good source of cholesterol lowering fiber, as are most other legumes. In addition to lowering cholesterol, black beans' high fiber content prevents blood sugar levels from rising too rapidly after a meal, making these beans an especially good choice for individuals with diabetes, insulin resistance or hypoglycemia.

When combined with whole grains such as brown rice, black beans provide virtually fat-free high quality complete protein. Other good varieties include: aduki, chickpea, pinto, kidney, and navy.

The Organic are 35% lower in sodium than the regular. I salt everything and have low-normal BP and HR.

That is an interesting chart. Hmm, why does it have to be re-fried though?

They're not really fried. In fact, they are low in fat and there are fat-free refried beans.
