Yeah, citizens of the US have never invented anything. It was just all colonialism.Actually, it was colonialism, slavery, esp. the cotton trade, and finally, unions, which enabled all that.

I always thought colonialism, slavery, esp. the cotton trade, and finally, unions, were intertwined with capitalism. Is this not so?Actually, it was colonialism, slavery, esp. the cotton trade, and finally, unions, which enabled all that.
I know you and Will Rogers still think someday you can get water to trickle up. I almost had it a couple of times (in my early days when I was working on perpetual motion.) Capitalism is simply buy low sell high. It is the foundation of the merchant class. There are other classes, the lower class, and the elite, but it is the merchants who pay for it all.I always thought colonialism, slavery, esp. the cotton trade, and finally, unions, were intertwined with capitalism. Nitro, you may not be thinking especially clearly here. If you look at the Meteorological Societies published survey of Global Warming Experts' opinions you will immediately be struck by the wide spectrum of views present among global warming experts, i.e., those actually researching and publishing in the field of Global Warming studies. If that is the case, why wouldn't it be reasonable to find at least as wide a range of opinions among the general population? This apparent assumption of yours that the issue of AGW is cut and dried is not supported by any disinterested review of facts, let alone a review of opinions. As long as the jury is still out, it seems that your hardened opinion is both unwarranted and premature. I think you should think again about this.Ricter, if this guy doesn't accept Human Forced Global Warming, how do you expect him to accept anything else, even for it being critically analyzed?
I appreciate the post. These issues are debated at all universities around the world, and even there people "wiggle".
It aint easy creating a master race. Everybody has a different idea of who the master should be. And what the race should look like. No matter what, it always ends up looking like a pyramid. Very few at the top, very many at the bottom.
