My son is thinking of going there and there is a good chance he will.

I had a friend who played golf at berkeley and still lives in the area.
I have been there a few times. I saw the hippies and the fringe in the town. But walking though the campus I saw all sorts of students including conservative looking ones.

I hear there are still plenty of conservatives they are just out numbered. But, yes its filled with lefties. But they used to think and be open to good arguments.

I visited friends there. the town was full of hippies and fringe... the students themselves ran the gamut. The lefties were there in high numbers but it was not like my friend on the golf team did not know plenty of good people whose opinion ran the gamut.
