Back then I surfed so I had a lot of friends in common with some pot smoking hippies friends in OB.

I was never quite one of them. But I enjoyed hanging out in OB after surfing the cliffs.

I got a job, got married have 4 kids.
Still would like to surf but I am out of surf shape and have surfers ear so I only try when its warm.
But, I still like hippies... I am just not one them.
 
I heard a Berkeley college republican on the radio.
Ironically, Berkeley was the epicenter of the Free speech movement in the 60s.
