The obvious success of "semantic satiation" as used by the GOP in the Benghazi case is something that very nearly keeps me up at night. That so many fellow humans are profoundly hack-able in simple terms.

Benghazi, Benghazi.. forever..

While researching what happens in the brain when a phrase or sound is repeated over and over until it skips out of the part that does logical analysis and lands into emotion processing where is it hated or loved, I found this.

Music is a form of voluntary brainwashing. We hear the sound, again and again until it goes past the analysis department and tickles our emotions.
