Belief in evolution by country - % of population

ohhh no, the interminable argument from absurity.

Quote from Index piker:

ahh, yes the endless belief of no belief.
belief of no belief is no belief.

...however much you hate that :D

Quote from Vaughn:

How entertaining...

First there was nothing. Then it exploded. And here we are! It's totally scientific. Just look at this chart in my 5th grade public school science book. It proves it all and it was 500 bazillion years ago and Al Gore said so too. He's a scientist and invented the internet so you know it's true!!! (Now that takes faith). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnFJ8cHAlco

Silly finite man, smug and secure in his self-saving childlike conclusions regarding an infinite being. Where is the edge of space? You don't know, but you've got God figured out? Confucius say, "He who keep head in sand look like ass."

Sheep following the wrong shepherd:D
Sad, but entertaining.
It is always amusing to hear theists proclaim that they dont believe in evolution because it sounds too complicated yet they will readily believe that some grey haired old deity in the sky just spoke and everything we see today popped up from nothing.

There fixed that for you.

Not taking a position, but the latter explanation IS a simpler one than that based on all that we know about evolution.

is that why simpler minds believe it?

There is nothing necessarily wrong about simpler minds. They may in many respects have more flexibility, joy, and long term survivability, than the complex mind.

i guess that depends on whether you want to live life as a leader or a follower. a simple mind is easily controlled.

A stupid man's report of what a clever man says is never accurate because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand.

Lol, one way or another you have got to try and steer it back around to the simple belief that believers are bad. But the enjoyment of your sophisticated, leadership mind is not readily apparent here, do you have it?

are you trying to argue that being a simpleton is a good thing?

In theory that may be true but in fact it appears quite the opposite or more accurately the more indoctrinated mind is more easily controlled.

One only has to look at those exposed to prolonged academia and their bias towards the failed philosophies of marxism, planned economies, economic fascism, and the welfare/nanny state.
