If one does not at least acknowledge the background potential similarities between now and Nazi Germany, then one is blinded by bias...
A founding premise of the US and its Constitution was that government should not be large and powerful enough to encumber people's lives... that we would be free to pursue our own individual "Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness".... and each of us could choose what that meant to us and how hard we cared to work to achieve our "happiness"...
Now, however, we are BARRELING down the path of Socialistic, "Government with its head so far up our assess we can taste the Brylcream" domination.

But the conditions now are extremely similar to those that allowed Hitler to come into power.
