Bay Area Real Estate Market

I am so happy out here that I couldn't care less if someone chooses not to live here, or has a "distorted" view of the quality of life here.

The view from the Berkeley and Piedmont Hills is unparalleled.

The Diablo Valley in the East Bay is absolutely wonderful. Of course, I remember when it was a bit "quieter" being a native and such, but Orinda, Lafayette, Alamo, Danville, and parts of Walnut Creek are simply exquisite.

In fact, I think I'll go for a hike up Mt. Diablo right now.
Cheers!

having lived in the bay area for the most part of 30 years and travelled most all of the world, i can say that it definately is one of the most desirable places in the world. i live in Danville and although there have been many changes (i.e traffic, overcrowded freeways, etc.) you cannot beat the quality of lifestyle. today i went for a hike on Mt. Diablo. tommorrow i'm going "spring" skiing
at Kirkwood, and if the weather holds the day after, I think I'll head out Stinson.

hard to beat that in my opinion.

Nobody I know would live in the east bay ... but then we probably run in different crowds.

Waggie, you need to trade TASR more to get into CalTrader's crowd! :D

Isn't it amazing?

Going from a high-technology career in California's famed Silicon Valley to trading TASR at a very "quantitative" hedge fund.

Simply Amazing!

TASR is like taking candy from a baby Wag. You never have to lose. Haven't you learned anything?

The price appreciation in Corona is amazing. But that's what's happening in the entire Riverside County.

People are now realizing RC is the last affordable area in Southern CA before going into the high deserts. Increasing at over 30%, it won't be affordable for very long.

I was driving through Corona yesterday. A new tract home there will cost you almost $500,000 now. Twenty miles to the east in Riverside they are close to $400,000. Traffic is horrendous out here. Can take close to 45 minutes just to get to the freeway (91) during morning rush hour. Yet homes have been appreciating better than 25% a year for the last 3 years. The home across the street from me was purchased for $300,000 a year ago. Today a simliar home around the corner just went on the market for $405,000.
