Nonsense, Publisher and co were not banned for saying "fucking jews", no one would and no one would complain about it. They were banned for posting dozens of antisemitic conspiracy threads every single day turning this site into a de-facto mirror site of kkk.com. Very few websites or political blogs would tolerate this kind of hijacking, they would be banned equally fast on dailykos/mydd and freerepublic/redstate and there is no reason why they should be tolerated in the political section of ET either. If anything Baron was too patient for too long.

PS I don't see dozens of new threads every day bashing and demonizing muslims, chrisitans or hindus, until Publisher was banned I saw dozens of new threads every day demonizing jews though. Your comparison is therefore invalid and absurd.

I have seen consistent bashing of Muslims in these forums, and those who have done the bashing continue on their merry little way...

You obviously don't have a clue about how things work around here.

This is not a republic that defends the minority voice, this is a Kingdom, with Baron as the King (maybe Joe is a Prince) and it is all about signal to noise ratio.

Muslim, or Hindu, or any other group that was not represented here in any great number would have little chance of sufficient complaints the way that the majority groups can.

p.s. I read saw no thread that demonized Jews. More dramatic verbiage from a fanatic. I saw a very unpopular point of view being expressed, that was ultimately censored because of the large number of people who complained...you have proven that anyone who takes a position that doesn't support Zionism or Israel's political policies is branded anti-Semitic.

Funny that the residents in the majority could not handle the situation, ignore the threads...perhaps they have some control issues...

Nevertheless if I started writing 10-15 anti-muslim or anti-hindu threads a day, threads full of lies, conspiracies and hatred - I'd still be banned in no time (or at least I hope I would). If I started writing racist anti-black,anti-latino hateful threads copying and pasting from KKK and white power websites I'd be immediately banned even though the black/hispanic representation on ET is negligible.

Really? Publisher and Co were in essence rehashing the Protocols, accusing the Jews of controlling this country, the media, the world economy, blaming the Jews for the war in Iraq, communism in Russia, Nazism in Germany etc. Of course that's not demonizing, that's just "more dramatic verbiage".

You can question and disagree with history and I for one often do...But when you start saying those F_ing this or that...your asking for trouble....However, I must admit that I have seen Muslims trounced up and down here like they were farm animals without a scant of protest....In fact, nearly every debate about GOD...ends up with Christian bashing and no other religious groups targeted or questioned...The "is there a god threads" go on for 500 pages yet at almost no point in time are the Jewish beliefs ever cited nor are they ever ridiculed in the manner Christians are......Do i believe there was a Holocaust? Of course...any RATIONALE man would see the pictures and the films and the mass graves and be horrified....however, do I believe the Jewish people should be held more accountable for their role in the Holocaust? Yes...Any RATIONALE man watching film of people being herded like cattle toward their own death would question the path of least resistance and the shocking films of naked Jews with their children standing over a trench waiting to be shot in the back of the head while German soldiers re-loaded is even more disturbing. If we are to constantly explore the Holocaust....we must always ask why certain things happened from more then one perspective.....this is how you prevent history from repeating itself....even though it constantly does across the world
