It may be a better choice, but thats the point isn't it. IT'S A CHOICE, SOMETHING YOU HAVE BEEN TELLING US FOR MANY POSTS THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE! Now that you have admitted it, just leave me alone and hurry on to your english class.

so lets see.... a man risks his life and his families life to cross the florida straits; hhmmmm I wonder why someone would do that ( they could die from all sorts of things one being dehydration ) on a small vesel sometimes no bigger than an inner tube and finds himself having to care for a family but has no experience in the english language...what are his choices for work around lets say the miami area?? or would you rather he stay in his country where him being a doctor pays him not enough to feed his family in the black market..a family who hasnt seen meat in lets say never or chicken in the last 3 months..

would you say you have more options than say this immigrant when it comes to a paying job??

although they can go back anytime to live under those conditions many people risk their lives to earn min wage here in USA where it is the only choice they have that is better than the choice they have back home...can you get that through your fucking head... :D

I guess you have no children or family that you need to take care of..so you can sit back with ur fat lazy ass playing xbox saying we all have choices... hahahahahahaah

China is run by Commies, so I guess you see nothing wrong with 500 million poor Chinese coming here either. No one cares that they come here, as people. It's not about racism. They require medicaid, education for their kids, compete for housing, etc. It's economics. We can't afford to have 800 million people in the country.

um...if some one left their country for political reasons...or for any reason at all.....they should be happy to get any job at all in their new country.....just because they were a doctor/lawyer/judge in their home country doesnt give them any rights in any other country....and if they dont like minimum wage.....get back on that plane/boat and go back to your old job

i agree 100%....

Give businesses incentives to hire residents and citizens.

For example:
Offer temporary employer exemptions for certain industries now too dependent on illegal labor. In other words, exempt them from providing health benefits and other enforced entitlements that make the hiring of legal residents and citizens too costly.

Another example:
Provide incentives for businesses to innovate away from their labor dependencies. Japanese labor was always expensive, but Japan never opened the floodgates for cheap Chinese labor. And yet, they built an auto industry that took the world –an industry less dependent on human labor. Technical innovation makes industries less dependent on labor. Here in America, businesses dependent on cheap illegal labor should be given incentives to innovate away from it; combine technology with a smaller cost-effective workforce of legal workers. (Washington doesn’t get it: Republicans are making the mistake of protecting the DEPENDENCE businesses have on cheap illegal labor, while Democrats are making the mistake of raising entitlement costs that make the hiring of citizens too prohibitive for anyone to do business here.)

Assuming that it’s even possible, deporting 12 million people costs too much to do. The best way to do this is to provide incentives to businesses dependent on illegal labor. In time, few businesses will want to hire illegals, and when the candy stops falling out of the piñata, the border stampede will end and many will return to their families in Mexico.

The remainder that stays should be encouraged to leave their Hispanic enclaves and assimilate to an English-speaking America as American legal resident workers. Or, their children should be encouraged to do so. This task falls into the hands of our education and legal systems, as well as voter-initiatives to quash bilingual programs, etc.. But these cultural assimilation-related tasks are paramount for the long-term health of America’s economy.

Any economy today dependent on cheap unskilled unassimilated labor is an economy doomed for failure, leaving an unproductive nation consumed by internal social conflict.

well, i live in L.A. and i have to tell you this. there is no such thing
as ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. there is obvious misuse of words here.
they are illegal CRIMINAL foreigners. now, going back to the original question, the answer is definite "NO". well, maybe the
police might be out of work but, u.s. as whole should not have any problems.

Man this topic has been discussed in so many other forums that's all you see.

Personally I support the Republican view on Illegals. Send them back were they came from. Pedro or Juan that are here on a legal green card will still cut your laen and pick your beans for shit wages.

Supply and demand. There are people willing to do crap jobs for crap pay. Don't 'fix' it, and don't reward illegal occupants working here.

Uphold the law.

Video camaras on traffic signals? I say video camaras in every politicians office so we the public can watch our employees.

Internet controlled video camaras all along the border so we can watch OUR border from our homes and help fight the problem.
