You mean libertarians like John Locke, Patrick Henry, Paul Revere and many of the founding fathers who espoused principles of decentralized and smaller govt responsive to the local people enshrined in the US Constitution.

People who don’t give much thought to big problems often identify as libertarian. These are the guys who have made extensive cases against stop signs, drivers licenses and the FDA - the FDA argument is a doozy, they claim after a certain number of people die from a product then the market will correct and people will stop using the product.
