With the right laws they wouldnt be able to or they simply wont risk it.An example would be fully automatic weapons which are virtually non existent in street crime.

Other folks have died from guns in Australia. Just not enough to qualify as a "mass shooting", with 4 at once.
With the noted exception the fully automatic weapons were made next to impossible to obtain a long, long time ago and there are very few in circulation. That isn't the case with AR15s.
How was it, again, you planned to get rid of all of the illegally owned AR15s? The 4.5 million or so of illegally owned ones?
