Australia's worst mass shooting in 22 years

Are you telling me that criminals won't obey gun laws? WOW, next you'll tell me that water is wet.
With the right laws they wouldnt be able to or they simply wont risk it.An example would be fully automatic weapons which are virtually non existent in street crime.

Ahh, those right laws that most oppose. Now I got it.

He waits for those kind of things ,
he thinks it absolves him of something ,

note how he rushes to make threads of it.

No one waits for these kinds of things, you incompetent wanker. Besides, these things aren't supposed to be able to happen, right? Guns were banned!

With the noted exception the fully automatic weapons were made next to impossible to obtain a long, long time ago and there are very few in circulation. That isn't the case with AR15s.

How was it, again, you planned to get rid of all of the illegally owned AR15s? The 4.5 million or so of illegally owned ones?

*silence*

Oh wait, I know. We'll see the benefits in 30 or 40 years, wasn't that the talking point? Hard to argue with that. But the rest of us will be sheep for the wolves for those 3 or 4 decades. Sorry, no thanks.

Fact: 93% of guns used in crimes are obtained illegally (i.e., not at gun stores or gun shows). 41

Fact: One study 5of adult offenders living in Chicago or nearby determined that criminals obtain most of their guns through their social network and personal connections. Rarely is the proximate source either direct purchase from a gun store, or even theft. This agrees with other, broader studies of incarcerated felons.

Fact: Another city-wide study, 6 this one in Pittsburgh, showed that 80% of people illegally carrying guns were prohibited from possessing guns, and that a minimum of 30% of the guns were stolen.

Fact: Only 0.7% of convicts bought their firearms at gun shows. 39.2% obtained them from illegal street dealers. 35

Yes, I'm sure virgin, live at home, basement dwellers, and average thugs will be able to afford post-ban ar-15s:

It’s virtually impossible to buy a gun or get a carry permit within Chicago city limits. Even with a FOID card. There were 4,331 shooting victims and 762 gun murders there in 2016. They lost the landmark Supreme Court ruling McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U.S.742 (2010) and paid out a hefty settlement but they didn’t change their gun laws and the gun violence has only gotten worse.

yeah yeah yeah totally stupid argument. Keep making it.
