At Least Four Dead After Shooting In Fredericton, Canada

Exactly what we would expect.
That is the point.

The criminals will get the guns and you wind up disarming the law abiding citizens to a large extent.

Precisely! Amazing how simple this point is and how difficult it is for liberals to grasp!

You post about crime in cities with multi millions of people and compare them to towns with populations of 130-160k

My post clearly stated "The gun crime rate in Cary in lower than any Canadian city/town of equivalent size."

Why don't you read what you quoted.

I don't doubt the statistics for Cary but in fairness it is not a representative town. I don't have the racial breakdown but it's heavily white and highly educated. It sits between the Research Triangle and N.C. State University. Duke and UNC, as well as a large international airport, are within 30 minutes.

You are correct. The demographics of Cary, NC have a lot to do with it. Also is the reality that the majority of the households are upper middle income with parents working for Research Triangle Park companies.

But liberals never let reality or facts interfere with their gun control agenda. Why bring up demographics in the discussion. The bottom line facts are Cary is ranked in the top 10 safest cities/towns in America -- many times ranked number 1 while having one of the highest rates of household gun ownership.

"The population was 73.1% White, 13.1% Asian, 8.0% African American, 0.4% Native American, 0.0% Pacific Islander, and 2.6% identified as having ancestry of two or more races. In addition, 7.7% were Hispanic or Latino, of any race. The median household income for Cary as of 2011 was $110,609."
