There's this cool new search engine called Google, of all things. And if you enter "Islamic contributions" into the search box, you find this useful website called Wikipedia (isn't that cute) which starts with stuff like

Like every other society the radical elements have taken over the Muslim people. Been going on since the beginning of time. Good post. Peoples, religions, civilizations have an interesting way of leapfrogging through history. No doubt there were some very self-satisfied Chinese, living during the Ming dynasty, within the "Celestial Empire", who thought they were the apex of mankind.

Yes, good post. And you're correct to use the term "leapfrogging" rather than "history repeating itself" since if history were only to repeat itself, the situation wouldn't be getting progressively worse. As it is, we come ever closer to the next stage. If we can't get through the barrier, we disappear. If we can, then perhaps life will be better for everyone.
