Are options a waste of time and money? (pun intended)

Bill Maher would say "you whiny little bitch". I have a solution for you, get a different job, this industry is simply not for you. You will end up having more peace and confidence.

Who? Confidence? I have basically come to a forum that is supposed to be home to some of the most Elite traders and schooled them.

I am a big proponent of using options in tandem with the underlying as they were intended.

So you say a thing but you do not do a thing. That does not bode well for the perception of your integrity as both a poster and as a trader, because that above statement is mutually exclusive from...

"Obviously I'm trading indexes. Anything with daily expiries."

Fact of trading life:
In this game not everybody can be a winner.
The profits of the winners are the losses of the losers... :)
So we need also many suckers to profit from... :)

Gee thanks. As a retail trader you must be tired of getting rinsed. I'm assuming since you haven't posted a single trade yet.

Good luck on your quest and your next job..

Still waiting for you to post a trade. Lets see all your expertise in action...I'm guessing you are probably one of these back testing traders who swears by his 1:3 risk reward, or whatever so you can be wrong 60% of the time and still make a profit. It's some new fangled thing that novice traders are clinging to but failing to factor in that you will rarely be in the trade long enough to collect your x3 profits. And if you automate it you will see that your target profit isn't always reached...so you can try with a trailing stop but will realize you get stopped out prematurely etc not even mentioning fees yet for over trading and margin costs.
