In the future they can make a difference in 2 factors:

Non breakable screen and battery life.
 
Bought an iphone 5 today, checked the new Samsung but too big for my taste. What's worrying is there seems to be iphone 5s in stock everywhere. When iphone 4 came out, there was at least the illusion of scarce supply - didn't check the numbers though, to see it comes from lesser demand or bigger supply. Yet a strong AAPL pulling up the market rather than pushing it down would definetely make my end of the year easier
 
if AAPL kept going up, you are going to complain that you never had a chance to get in. Now that AAPL gives you a chance to get in at at better price, what did you do? you are sitting on the sideline doubting yourself. Typical loser behavior.

Circumstances are different, AAPL has provided its share of technical damage to the uptrend lately.

Not every pullback is equal.
