Anyone using the huge curved monitors?

I think curved monitors aren't useful, as your eyes become tired faster, so that's better to use pair of monitors imho.

My son and I did a few physical tests yesterday (hearing, eyesight, etc) and apparently I have the eyesight and hearing of a 18 year old. I'm on this thing a lot of the time. Combined with good sleep and night mode, these monitors don't add any strain to my eyes.

What laptop are you using? I am thinking very seriously about going this route.

Nothing fancy. I use a Dell gaming laptop. I think it's this one:

I bought a rack and mounted the laptop under my desk, so I have a very clean desk with zero clutter.

I may have to (want to) upgrade my computer this year, though, but as far as possible, I think I will go for another laptop. Will probably try to buy a workstation laptop though.

While I do see advantages with a single 49", it's not something I would urge others to buy since multiple single monitors may work just as well. But as I said - it works fine for me and I'm happy to not need to think about extra stands and additional cables.

This is very similar to the path I think I am taking. It seems the curved monitor will handle the viewing angle you lose by just going to a 43" 4k Display.

You may have proper eye to monitor distance too. Most people do not.

Yes, I went through a lot of analysis to find exactly the right positioning for everything so you're probably right.

I don't think that is a good idea.

curved monitors are ok (OK only !!) for watching films.


for trading, you want to see straight line as STRAIGHT LINE.
You don't want distortion !

also many traders rotate monitor to get portrait format to maximise table space.
It looks odd if monitor is curved in portrait format.

When are monitor makers going to flatten ALL their monitors ?!?!??!
