Anyone using the huge curved monitors?

I've got a 34" LG curved monitor and I love it. The curve is more subtle than you think. It's certainly not enough to distort your view of a chart.

Not trying to one up you but I have two LG 34"'s. And agree no distortions at all.

Once I got them I wouldn't trade without them.

Curves dont distort anything. They are designed to improve the viewing angle and flat monitors have the worst possible viewing angles.

The curve on both my monitors is probably less than 2 degrees and the change in viewing angle is incredible. It's incredible people believe these myths.

Nah, not at all for me. Smaller panels allow for easier configuration, and they are cheap. I do prefer larger than 24 for space, but when you start getting many 32's in a geometric curve, they are too big to work together. And they cost more for decent resolution. 24 is a good compromise. Overhead panels can be tilted down. Side panels tiled in. No obtuse viewing angle issues b/c small monitors allow more facets in the arrangement. Can move the bracket arms all over the desk (I run one bracket desk clamp per two monitors).

And, it isn't a fashion show, its a profit process.

well. Different people have difference preference.
Ideally I'd like to have seven 32" monitors portrait format. I am quite close to that.

Actually for big monitor, there is PIP / PBP function and you can breakdown the big monitor into multiple small monitors.

32 in portrait is an appealing option for sure. But I like to have any screen space above my eye line tilted downwards, and large monitors in portrait don't allow that. But I am very close to your thinking otherwise.

My very first job had these mini monochrome monitors. Actually looked (minus the smoking) and sounded (minus the accents) a lot like this. That was unsightly!

right. eye level is a problem.
I have modified my chair (change piston to longer one) so that my eye level can be raised even higher.
Normal office chair is not suitable for trading because it is far too low.

Recently I bought myself a new monitor. At that time did I also look at those curved monitors. However, I noticed that the vertical screen size is rather small. Those screens are rather "narrow". It forces you to place windows horizontal, next to each other. That made me decide to buy a conventional, flat, monitor. 32" (2560x1440) gives a lot of vertical desktop range to place multiple windows at random positions.

Maybe it's just me but I don't get the need for vertical. My viewpoint is all about the horizontal.

No head, neck, back or eye strain. Different chairs, desks etc.

Quite a few flat out stupid comments here. First of all - the curve ain't that big. Second - you're not likely to spread out a chart over an entire wide screen anyway. And even if - the curve won't be a problem.

I use a 49" Dell. Works great for me. That said - you're not getting any more screen estate than you would using 2 x 27" 4K screens. So unless you mind the bezel in the middle (I do!), you can save yourself some money.

Since I run this off a laptop - I'm also happy to reduce the number of cables/inputs.

What laptop are you using? I am thinking very seriously about going this route.
