Anyone use moving average indicators?

Most price indicator are based on moving avarage of some price point in your TF bar. So basically if you use price indicator why not use the backbone of every price indicator and use the MA itself.
RSI for example, want, base on the length, to give you a hint about the current PA.. because he do some math with tops and bottoms..
MA can be a nice quick context reference.
If the MA look useless it's also say something..
Reading well your current PA in a context of MA is all you need.
Nothing replace good PA reading. MA can save few processing steps if from the beginning you now what you look for.
It's a basic tool. I thing it's a good tool and can be helpful.

Is there a babypips post you can reference or copy and paste (assuming that babypips is a formum... I'll go check as soon as I finish typing this entry) that you feel does the best job of summarizing all you do?

(For expiated's information... babypips.com is not a forum, but it does have forums.)
I'm sorry I have posted so many times there I couldn't highlight particular posts. Strategies I have either used or suggested have varied over the years too. I am tommor at babypips and you will be able to see all my posts from my profile.

My core strategy remains to follow D1 trends using the price/20EMA/50EMA sequence as the basic filter.

I am currently trialling a zone recovery strategy but find so far its only successful if I'm prepared to abandon the zone recovery approach if it doesn't work urgently after initial entry. Its a fascinating challenge. As ever its also best to let the with-trend winners run.

I use MA's simply to confirm trends and to allow the strengths of trends on different charts to be compared objectively. If price is above the 20EMA, which is above the 50EMA, I will be seeking buy opportunities. MA's can be used in multiple ways to compare trends: e.g. the number of recent gaps between daily price bars and the 20EMA is relevant, as is the direction of the slope of the 50EMA.

Good , sounds like good profits\
i like 50+ 55 + 200 day moving averages. I cant stand a WSJ 65dma \too little to late, but it may work well with DOW,DIA/LOL. May help the WSJ sell newspapers, so cant complain:D:D;
50 week ma seldom works but may or may not find a bottom.
Wisdom is profitable to direct. .............................................................................
