Anybody else short US 30 Bond

Hi all,

I have a question regarding spread trading treasuries (i.e. combos of 5/2 years, 10/5 years and 30/10 years).

My question: Is the only way to spread trade treasuries by simply going long/short futures contracts in the usual manner or does anyone know of a perhaps an online broker that provides spread trading treasuries much like fx trading?? (i.e. betting on a per point basis, little taxes and requires less account size etc etc) If so, what are your experiences with this so far???

I've done some googling and came across Finspreads and a couple of others but I find myself a little confused as not much info is given.

You could trade the spreads. I'm not sure how the volume is though.

3 hour 9 tick range (zn) trying to find a way to stay alert.

The avg daily ranges are and have been getting tighter. I'm not sure how far back CME SPAN goes for it's daily averages but I think the FOMC blip has prevented margins from being lowered sooner rather than later.
 
Iam continuing my effort to get the the 30Y changed back to full ticks. I will be meeting with some of the interest rate directors next week. They seem more concerned with liquidity then they have before. Hopefully a lot of traders have been writing them.

Any 30Y traders out there who feel the same way please pm me and I can tell you how its going.

I trade the ten year right now but I would switch back instantly if they moved tick size to 31.25
 
profit taking before rally next week to correlate with spooz selloff next week, hollah at a playah when you see him in the streets. Bought $60 spider puts last week. should hold this 121.02-05 zone in ZN ( that is if we get through important 121.05-06)
ZB moved to half ticks for algo spreaders (with cash) I don't think they are changing soon I hope they do.
