Actually today we had less voltatility than previous days; essentially 16 tick range after the pit opening, probably bc it's position squaring ahead of FOMC and the first day on Globex.
The DOM is quite empty there is rarely a size on a price; it happend today only at 120'05 and 11920 when we saw at least 1300 lots... wow!!!...
5+5 sucks and with the reduced tick you will see more algos and machines running iceberg orders to just keep the edge in a couple of ticks and make thousands of scracthes.

Redcuced tick size is gonna REALLY suck, I made a little scratch today, I sold em for a few, and bought em for a few....no real follow through, that's all that matters is the GREEN, hope you were too Bernard!

Yeah really small range in the 10yr today. I was suprised to see that we held up so well with the s&p up 20 today. Regardless I think we are headed lower tomorrow though.

Agree 100%. Can I ask what was the motive for them to change it to 5 deep? I guess why does the cme have all of its products 5 deep for that matter? At least a 10 deep market provides better transparity imo. I just don't get it.
