Anyone else think this fixed income trade has been an absolute bear this last few months. I've been trading for 5 years w success and trade with a few others who have had the same success and all the sudden no one can make a dime. I know theres been volume and volatility but still these markets seem just too fast and utterly disconnected. Would be interested to hear everyones thoughts.

It's been interesting, yes... But then again, these are interesting times.

I know these markets seem to be in crisis mode but they were in '08 and '09 and people were still able to grind out money...this times seems far different. I trade mostly 10yr cash and I cant believe what is taking place in there half the time.

I have been finding the bunds very challenging, but I attributed it to me being quite useless at figuring them out. That said most of the guys I know have left bunds for the estoxx so perhaps its not just me.

The roll is on at the moment so its even more of a pig then usual.

This is a crisis, albeit of a different nature. And I agree, it's very choppy. Still, that's just the way this cookie crumbles, I guess.

In bunds, the trade has been very simple, actually. Just go limit long, close your eyes and everything will be just fine. I am only kidding a little.
