Any news? Market just spiked up a lot.

why does it have to make sense? do you trade on your opinion or interpretation of the facts or do you trade off of what the market does?

Quote from Warrior4g:

from what the fed said,i am having a hard time understanding this rally.

OP was asking the question why we rallied at 12:00, prior to FOMC mins being released.

Quote from Warrior4g:

i agree,i just go with the flow but the poster seems interested in knowing why we rallied. i have no idea.

A manufactured rally in which to sell?

That would be consistent with classic market theory--accumulation, marking it up, distribution, marking it down.

Good post! You must be good at reading volume as well.

Quote from Ivanovich:

The headline on Yahoo is hilarious...

"Fed forecasts inflation, higher unemployment."

then

"Market shockingly higher at 110 points in the green"

LOL...

It's a world gone mad.

The world hasnt gone mad, its the market thats insane.

News is irrelevant because the market can always be manipulated in the very short run.

for those who missed these posts. some laughter is good after a hard week.

I'm not even kidding, I had it bad today. Had to have my mother put her finger over the send button for a sell order in case my stock dropped too low while I had explosive diahhrea.

She's screaming out bid prices while I'm trying to focus on crapping. Mother and son bonding. IT was extremely disgusting. I'm sorry i even shared this. Sad but true.

I thought all active traders owned a commode. You can shit right at you desk when nature calls. <-- grunt, push, click

Quote from wiesman02:
Could have. But I hate stop orders. Stock was HPQ. Had I been watching I probably wouldn't have had her sell. Time stamp for the sell was at 11:43. Take a look at the chart. Bastard rose up about 10 mins later.

I lost a few pounds and a few dollars b/c of that :(
