I think this post by d08 shows the clear double standard in how we refer to areas with known poverty and low overall standards. d08 is not American so I view him as a fresh set of eyes to what he has seen and what he knows about America.

The Left uses Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi in this example as places that are poorly run by backward lower class white people. The responsibility in their minds rests solely with those white people who live there. They are not victims and their problems begin and end only with themselves.

Now take a look at what d08 said about Baltimore, Detroit, Newark and Chicago being "slums" and "worst areas of the states". To make such an observation as a white Republican is automatically racist and the Black Democrats who run those places will always be victims and the "bad guys" will always be white people.

The key takeaways are:
White run areas that are poor/low standards=Stupid inbreed racists who make bad choices.

Black run areas that are poor/high crime=Forever Victims, any shortcomings are due to whites being racist even if the majority of whites who surround the area are Democrats.

This is how responsibility is distributed among American Democrats.

You've applied your own racial lenses to what I said. I saw plenty of poor blacks in Alabama and Mississippi. I also saw plenty of poor whites. I didn't differentiate.

A racial lense is automatically attributed to geographical regions here in the USA. This goes back to the dividing lines of the American Civil War. You still see Tony Stark refer to the south as the "Confederate South". And that "all of the south" is racist. This is nothing new on either side.

You will admit that if an American Republican said something like "blacks learn/inherit" victim hood behavior and tendencies then it would be viewed as highly racist. You will get a free pass on that one and not be called racist because you are not American.

There is one other thing I want to point out, if one criticizes Detroit or Baltimore then a response from Tony Stark and the like will attribute that to something whites did. There is never any blame or responsibility for Black People to accept. Bubba is responsible for his own stupid ways and Tyrone can always blame whitey.

Mississippi is 44% black, Alabama is 26% black - WAY above the country's average. The only excuse black people there have is that they were forcefully brought there, it was not their choice to come (as it was for whites and Asians).
