If you knew anything about different non-lethal weapons bear spray contains less OC by volume (typically 2%) vs pepper spray (10%). Pepper spray in that sense is far more dangerous. OC is the main irritant of pepper spray and the additional irritants (based on brand) is simply added punishment.

So not only did this guy shoot someone spraying what amounts to jalapeno water in the guys face (bear spray is designed to discourage a bear not rendering it incapable of fighting), there's no evidence he was under any threat. Then he ran and hid because he knew he murdered an innocent man and was brought to justice for the low, low price of a few rounds of 9mm by some good police shooting.

Rittenhouse didn't run. He attempted to surrender and the police thought he was crazy. He then turned himself in. This guy ran and hid from justice.
