The other day, I was walking across the street and a bike almost hit me, which delayed my travel time to the store, where I bought a lotto ticket and lost my entire $2. If that bike did not delay me, I would have gotten better random number and won $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Come on. I traded for 25 years and never once blamed a loss any anything or anyone but myself. And, was married with a child for all but 2 years of that. No dog, so I couldn't blame the dog for eating my profits.

This was a lottery play with stock options that 99% of the time would have resulted in him losing 100% of his options premium. So, what was he thinking trying to save the few bucks left of value on the options premium? He should have been prepared to lose it 100% or in the event of extreme luck which this was AAPL and QCOM settling, kept whatever profit he lucked out on!

An option contract is 100 shares. So his ten cent options were ten dollars per contract. He had 750 dollars at risk so setting a .06 limit was saving him 450 of the original 750 paid. He couldn't have known the news was coming and with two days left on the position most traders would have done the same thing.

Sounds like this guy didn't have a plan or strategy. I went long Tesla through options at 325 had to trade my way to breakeven as per plan. Then went bearish.

No his total loss would've been 0.10*75*100 = $750 converted to Australian dollar, that's $1,042.50 Australian dollar. Everybody has different capital structure. To him, that might be a big loss.

Agreed. He was just pissed that he missed the windfall but then again, nobody has that kind of foresight unless you are Steve Cohen, of course. I find that title to be a bit misleading come to think of it. If he was trying to salvage his position, baby or no baby, he would've done the same.
