Quote from Mav88:
The point remains no matter who voted what. Big government is incompetant, inefficient, and a proven failure when it comes to running an economy.
Quote from TGregg:
Which is exactly why the left like it. The bigger the government, the worse the economy, the more people that depend on handouts, the more votes for democrats which leads to even bigger government.
Quote from AK Forty Seven:
Reagan,Bush and Bush grew the government more then Carter,Clinton and Obama
Quote from TGregg:
Pbbt. Clinton and Obama are the masters of big government. And you'll not hear conservatives claiming the Bushes as one of their own. Still the facts are clear - Obama and Clinton beat the crap out of Reagan with regard to government spending, with Obama spending over three times as much as Reagan!

Dude, I beat you to the punch! Did you not see my statement about two more terms of Clinton instead of Bush II? WTF do you think Bush II got re-elected? Cuz he spent like a democrat! God forbid we ever get Bush III, he'll spend like he is trying to embarrass Obama.
I really do not understand why the left is so bitter, you guys won. We are absolutely going down the road of massive government and little liberty that you crave. The end of the road sucks, our destination is not one that many will enjoy. But everyone is happily steering the stagecoach along this path. At least some of us see beyond the immediate future- why the discontent? We're not going to influence the voting public - much anyway. Not enough to matter. You'll get the end you crave, but why are liberals so discontent with winning?
