Well we agree on parts. 'Evil' was a bad choice but I do think the NRA represents a type of toxic & inherently psychopathic corporation that thrives in the US.
The NRA engineered and implanted the relativism argument that makes it seem looking at them will not help. I accept you see it that way, I don't buy it.
The movie 'Thank you for smoking' should be played for a week after each such massacre perhaps.
The NRA is up there with the smoking lobby. Personally I think ARs serve no useful purpose, they are used in few (commercial) crimes, not good for duck hunting and I personally believe that genies can get put back into bottles. But that is me, hopeful as ever.
I wish what you hoped for could be possible. As I say, I much prefer a country where my son can grow up without having to worry about this stuff. What's the expression? "If there must be trouble, let it be in my time so that my children may have peace."
But I'm a realist.
Time and pressure. Many things seemed to have no answer at points in time. All it takes if for good men to do nothing etc. and that is what the NRA have managed to make happen. For now.

Chalk this whole thing up to leftist policy and political correctness. The killer should still be in a prison cell from previous crimes committed. Why isn't he? PC culture in the military and a judge who didn't do his f'n job. The guy beats and strangles his wife, fractures the skull of his infant baby, has a history of making threats against his commanders, escapes from a mental institution, and abuses animals for good measure. What's he get? A year. Then, the AF, in the epitome of PC incompetence, doesn't file the proper paper trail to follow this fucking maniac. WTF? All of this, every god damn bit of it, is the consequence of leftism run amuck. And, as these nitwits argue here today, they'd rather see more people killed waiting for the fucking cops than have a good guy with a gun do his best to stop a killer. Leftists need to be run out of town before they get every one of us killed with their idiotic ideology.
Where do you get PC culture in the military from? In the old days a soldier would have been told to hit his wife hard enough she did not complain again. Is that what you mean? Good old conservative households.
I believe you are very wrong on this. The military -- all the way back to WW2 -- had a very strong culture against hitting or abusing your wife or girlfriend.
