One might conclude looking at the research that the only limiting factor of the insane size of the US military has been resistance from liberals about having their wealth spent on something they don't really need themselves.

Huge industry is wasted on conservatives who can never feel safe enough, at anyone's cost. This spending dwarfs the paltry comfort needs of the liberals.

That's fine we will let the liberals move to somewhere with no military. We will see how quickly they decide that they were wrong "about having their wealth spent on something they don't really need themselves".

On a more serious note -- yes there are concerns about the size of the industrial / military complex in the U.S., and several well-known politicians have warned about this.

I would expect the liberals would be happy with five times more firepower than everyone else for a safe margin, eleven times is excessive.

Liberals pay a lot for this excess which only benefits the conservative mindset, a lot more than some meals on wheels and diapers for lazy mothers.

Maybe some reflection on who is the taker is in order. I must go to the pub, it is Friday and I must let some wealth trickle down. :)
