Analysis of Christopher Hitchen's argument against God

Quote from LORD KAL-EL:

You're simply delusional :D :D

No....he is claiming he is not making a claim.
So since he is not making a claim...
...that means he is not making a claim that he is not making a claim.
So he is making a claim.

But but a question bigger than the existence of God is...

Does the Religion Of Stu have BINGO Nights?.....

And if it does, do they charge for refreshments?

Maybe bingo, but likely not confessionals...

Quote from MarketMasher:

Hmmm...sounds kinda worshippy....

Quote from LORD KAL-EL:

Too bad you cannot be intellectually honest and just admit that you do not know if God exists or not and leave it at that.

----------------------------------------
I do know.
So now that I'm being intellectually honest, shall I leave it at that.
Will you?

Hmmm...so he Knows but makes no claim that he Knows.

Then why even post? If he thinks a non-answer is an answer, that is called Not Answering (when speaking, it is called "Silence").

Or maybe he said he Knows - but can't claim that he Knows - meaning he Knows nothing. Is that it?

Let's recap a bit here for further clarity I'll highlight an highly inconvenient concept for stu since he supposedly was just answering a question.

02-21-11 12:57 PM post from LORD KAL-EL:

So are you claiming "to know if God exists or not. "?

If you do, then lets hear your discovery of the century.
If not then it's just your "opinion".

stu's reply

Sure I know.
Everything else must be just your "opinion" then.

Quote from OPTIONAL777:

"You asked me if I know. I said Sure I know.
Then you asked me for evidence about my knowledge.
I make no claims about my knowledge."

Person A ask Person B, do you know?

Person B says, sure I know.

Person A then says, so you know.

Person B then says, I never made a claim....err...uhhhhh....oooops...our beliefs are not beliefs...geez...I never claimed to know, you know, just said I know, I make no claims about my knowedge...opps, I just said my knowledge....shoooooot....but I am not claiming that my knowledge is knowing anything....I am just saying I have knowledge because I don't know...I mean, I don't have certainty....darn....darn...darn...Yes I am now certain that I do have knowledge, and my knowledge is without certainty, therefore it is knowledge based on uncertainty...my own uncertainty....no that can't be right...it must be based on my certainty that my own uncertainty is actually knowledge....oh hell...at least that's what I believe...darn, darn, darn...but I am without beliefs, but I am certain of that, I have knowledge that I don't know, therefore I am knowledgeable...my knowledge is true...but I'm not certain, and I am making no claims that my knowledge is true...but it isn't an opinion...because I don't hold my own knowledge to be true or false, shit I don't know...but it isn't any belief or opinion of mine, I call this knowledge...at least that's what I'm claiming.

Yeah, that's the ticket...

Well at least somebody has a full grasp of the evolution of stu(pids) religion.

Quote from stu:

No.
They can see you claiming I made a claim when all I did was answer your question.

Apparently you made a rule that no one can give a straight answer to a question any more, they can only make claims.

I'm sorry I'm not the one inhibiting his ability to give a straight answer or his ability to CLEARLY state his CLAIMS.

BTW something for rational posters to ponder: Is his reply above
1) a claim
2) straight answer
3) straight answer denying a claim
4) claim without a straight answer
5) whatever he wants it to be depending upon the circumstances of further reference.(BINGO)

Oh, I dunno...the Religion Of Stu has its merits....

Like, you get to say "I know" about stuff (though what stuff I'm still not sure).

So it's sort of like a take-off on the burning bush "I Am" thing, so it's got that going for it.

And I'm still thinking there is a Stu-day of rest during the week (and if it's not the same as a weekend day, that would be Fan-Tas-Tic!!)

Tempting....very tempting.....

All it needs is......

BINGO!!

bring the link to the video you dipshit. I will transcribe it for you as I have in the past.
You posted the link to the video yourself. And to compound your fuckwittery you are the one who also posted a link to only part of a Christian de Duve quote to misinform.
So go get them yourself.

As far as transcribing goes don't make me laugh. You couldn't even transcribe the word cite after I showed you 4 times.

It's not a claim...................I make no claims about my knowledge

2) straight answer

Well done.
See you had it all the time , just didn't want to admit it obviously.

You guys protest too much. What are y'all so scared of admitting?
Is it the inkling your religious claims are just as absurd as trying to insist someone must own claims they don't make?

in reference to (posts , answers , replies to queries, claims, non-belief beliefs etc etc ad nauseum)
IOW: Even he doesn't believe (non-belief :D ) the veracity of his own claptrap.
Pretty much depicts the status of all statements, claims, arguments explanations or anything posted by the religion of stu through stu speak in which words mean" whatever he wants it to be depending upon the circumstances of further reference."

Which is even more duplicitous than orwells newspeak.
