An earlier dinner may lower risk of some cancers, study says

Throw in a double shot of apple cider vinegar mixed with warm water and a teaspoon of honey about an hour before retiring. Helps in many areas and will also help keep you hydrated for a better part of your sleeping hours. Gives a fuller feeling as well so you wont feel so hungry going to bed. Downside, you will get up a time or two during the night to take a piss.

Apple Cider burned the fuck out of my throat...have to dilute it heavily with water haha.

You have a better way? :p

I was just discussing this with my assistant. She commented that she has noticed how male friends (including me) focus on ameliorating the worst effects of different aspects of aging.

For me, having a more stable mood and clear mind is something I put real effort into. My knees are buggered, I could get surgery, but I don't mind that so much, it can wait.

A while back I was worried about my heart, before that it was a cancer that was either a false diag or just went away.. I never liked the game of whack-a-mole at the fair and I don't want to play :)

I don't really dwell on age-related health issues since, thus far, I don't really have any. I only have 2 joint issues, both of which occurred outside of the gym, and one of which is almost resolved. Apart from that, stuff like having to eat earlier to get a better night's sleep I just chalk up to "the way it is." I don't really bitch about it; I just adapt. Much like no longer being able to eat eggs, which is not age-related. I'll be 60 later this summer (60! :wtf:) and I don't feel it. Thankfully, everyone tells me I don't look it. (For now, I don't have to pay them to say that.)

Perhaps when the real old-timer's health stuff starts cropping up, I'll join the woe-is-me brigade. :D

I have a friend who is 67 and a cliff/ice/mountain climber. He has rubber joints he recons, never hurts anything. Hate him :)

I don't dwell myself but I was thinking last weekend when hosting a dinner party.. I'd rather be 25 in the club that 2am with two "E"s in my pocket.. than discussing the Waterford crystal I brought back from Ireland with an ultra hot 32 year old younger friend of my GF who herself was complaining she did not have the energy for clubbing anymore. :)

Ah crap. Woe-is-me.
