I hope this is a DOUBLE sized roll for this pile!

Pinocchio, still never told us which brokerage house allowed you to borrow the shares.

Ha, you think I'm going to tell YOU of all people? C'mon man, that is some very useful information and that's why I've put it in my DVD.

Me?? This has zero to do with me. You are telling this board. You know, the same board that has busted you in this LIE b/c we all know there were no shares to borrow, and we all know you didn't actually make this trade.

Dude, everyone knows you lied here. You underestimate who you're shovelling to on ET. Bad move. Just like having those grovelling, begging emails exposed was a career damaging bad move.

The self destruction accelerates...

You are telling me that if they have a stop at 20.03 they will only have .03 sliipage...but if they use a 20.00 stop they will have 1.00 to 2.00 slippage? I find that hard to believe that a stock can change characteristics that quickly. Makes zero sense Tim.

Make perfect sense if you've seen what I've seen. Welcome to my strategy! Good debate.

Read the message fool, some other ETers were able to borrow shares too. But I'm not going to give you and this board incredibly useful information like this for free--why do you think I even came out with a DVD? When you watch it, you'll see I could care less about my rep, trader/wannabe fund manager career, whatever because I know Penny Stocks and microcaps and in time, besides being entertained, people will realize that I can help make them money and thats all that counts.

So maybe the biggest firm on the street (with the largest inventory of borrowable shorts) had none while others did..which does sound fishy..sounds like a Pinocchio story. Sounds like a snake oil sykes story.

are you saying that i lied when i said borrowed shares (went short) in CHNR from IB, bob?

Is your name snake oil sykes?

Thought you'd appreciate this Bobby, I just listed my title on Barnesandnoble.com and for some reason it's selling much better than on Amazon and even though it'll be a few weeks before I'm listed in individual categories, my current #603 overall rank:

http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780979549700&itm=1

would place me:

nope, that's why i asked. just making sure you weren't doubting what i said...

to be clear, i don't recommend shorting the high-flyers for any newer traders. it took a lot of self-beating over the head for me to learn what worked and what didn't. i help a couple traders with stuff, both of whom know that's in my arsenal - and both know to stay FAR away from it until they've accumulated a lot more market experience...if at all.

and for anyone thinking of buying this book...buy _techniques of tape reading_ by graifer and schumacher instead. you can even buy it used on amazon for $15 (a great deal!) and it will teach you lots of things on (actual) trading.

You're defending Timothy Sykes for Christ's sake. The obvious answers to your questions are YES.
No, I am not defending Sykes. What I am doing is saying the reaction to Sykes is overkill to say the least. It reminds me of a bunch of vultures waiting to devour a dead beast. Not calling anybody vultures here... but simply saying that peoples actions here remind me of that. Why does this guy upset, so many of you, so much? Makes no sense. Seems there is an under current here. A hidden reason??? A secret vendetta???? An deep emotional reaction that passes reason???? Is he an embarrassment to traders? Especially, if with his wild antics he was able to do what many other traders at his age couldn't pull off? How come you guys don't hammer on "normal" traders who make mistakes?? So what if he wants to sell a book or Cd or even make a movie about himself. Its a free world. Isn't he allowed to do that? How come hardly anybody hammers "Livermore"? He made and lost millions with dumb mistakes. So, big deal. Livermore is a legend, in spite of his failures. And his story is highly recommended as a good read by many people.

He is a huckster that is turning ET into a 3 ring circus. And the only thing that Livermore and Sykes have in common is they both have an "e" in their last name.
