American companies are hereby ordered to immediately start looking for an alternative to China,

I’m all for the trade war, but didn’t Trump go against his advisors for further tariff hikes:

*Yes, it is CNBC*
He said this many, many, many years ago (actually a little over 3 years ago) regarding his foreign policy and who he talks to - which can be applied to any other tRump subject:

“I’m speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain and I’ve said a lot of things."

"I know what I’m doing and I listen to a lot of people, I talk to a lot of people and at the appropriate time I’ll tell you who the people are," Trump said. “But my primary consultant is myself and I have a good instinct for this stuff."

Ah, the political correspondents and economic advisers are just for show... and to better unemployment %.

We will see if that remark holds true. Of course, in the short-term we will be ‘hurt’ a bit. That’s just how it goes. The long-term application of this trade war is what we really care about.

I guess the trade war makes the market stronger as evidenced by, you know, the market being higher than it was since it started.

Oh and I’m not Luc, whoever your French butt buddy is.
