Amazing volatility - Will it last?

ES so far today: 32 points up, 23 points down, 18 points up, 14 points down.

It's a day trader's paradise for sure.

I hope this volatility will last for a long time.

What is a % trader? just use bigger leverage if the % is too small....

I remember a few years back when ES was in a 4 points range for hours, how was that better for a % trader? (if there is such a thing?)

time, points mean nothing to me. 100 points a day in the dow use to be a big deal, now it is normal. I agree at tight margin every point is a big deal. Percentage wise, we haven't gone anywhere for a long while.

I remember those days too and I would hate it if that's the condition I'm facing when I eventually go live again.

Still, a day trader needs to be able to adapt to both high and low volatility. Like Speedo says; enjoy it while it lasts.

And I sure as hell hope it lasts for a long time. :)

WTF you are talking about? The market down -10% in 5 weeks is nothing? That is how we started the year.... Sure, it isn't the flash crash, but it is not nothing....
