Amazing Speech.

My best guess on you is you are engaged in criminal activity for a living. This would explain you living off the beaten track, in a country you despise. And why you know a lot of people into mortgage fraud, a relatively rare thing in Canada beyond a few criminal syndicates.

Are you even legally in Canada ? Or did some family member sponsor you ?

That's a very nasty post.
First, EVEN if achille28 was engaged into anything such as that, that should not prevent him from posting his views. And - EVEN if one disagrees with his views, we owe him a minimum of RESPECT because:
1) he is able to present his views
2) he is fully entitled to express himself as he wants - even if once in a while some MIGHT want to point of things
3) it is about discussion of viewpoints, and not about personnal attacks.

I hope you will take on yourself to offer him well felt, and sincere apologies.
We want a P&R forum where we can discuss every viewpoint. What you are doing is trying to
discredit his opinion based on something else than its content.

So I took some time to listen and re-listen to Trump speech.
He is touching some very deep and raw emotions ( anger, "isolationsim?", FEAR, rage of struggling Americans).

What he needs to do, is address the causes of this immigration.

1) If I am correct, the US Army is heavily present as well in Latin American countries.
America has removed many Latin American leaders ( Allende, etc) , many times in
a very bloody way.
Could this immigration be stopped by America stopping its interference in
its neigbouring countries?

2) American multinationals operate with total impunity in Latin American countries,
so that even if they pollute entire villages and towns, the locals are left to die to
to immigrate.
Trump should address the handling of the multinationals. May be list the names of these companies
so that we can find out more about these companies modus operandi.

What Trump seems to be advocating is solely dealing with the consequences ( people immigrating).
He needs to address the root causes.

These elections are really the only moment where everybody can find out what is really going on.

It's all nice and easy to say how great Trump is: why don't you prove your beliefs by betting as much as you can on his win. Just now, if you bet on Hillary, you are not to win anything if she wins. If you bet on Trump, you will win at least 3 times. Put as much as you can on Trump and triple your money : put the money where your mouth is.
Obviously, you'd lose all the money if he loses. Back up your words with some serious betting.

If this was for me, you didn't read my post correctly. I didn't say I'd bet on him winning or losing, I said I'd bet on his odds going up after that speech. Strictly a "daytrade" for lack of a better word.

And Achilles....The thread wasn't really about policy,.... it was about his incredible energy level and his ability as an orator. 10 out of 10 last night.

Again, Hillary looked like a drowned rat. Sickly. This IS a big thing. A leader needs to be strong both in policy and physical demeanor. And needs to be able to deliver with authority. When Hillary starts to speak strongly, .... its like nails on a chalkboard. I'm surprised she hasn't had surgery done on her pipes to be honest. Its not like they don't have the money and they seem to be willing to do anything to win. Nasal Nellie. Annooooying.

So to close....I'm just saying.....The man gave a powerful speech. I call em like I see em. Just like stocks.

To answer your question in broad strokes, the reason why we have so many people wanting to come to the States is for a better life. The reason there is a better life here, is because we have 'law and order'.

Another reason is that, unlike in South and Central America, the political left has been kept at bay here, and we have been able to contain the damage. Other countries, where the left has taken over, have been destroyed. Just look at Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina, Nicaragua, El Salvador......

Awesome speech.

The speech was good if you like Trump, and total nonsense if you don't. I doubt the political needle moved one iota one way or the other. It's still neck and neck between the pot and the kettle, from a purely partisan point of view. Independents still up for grabs. Hillary dislike and untrustworthy numbers are on the rise while Trump remains static in that category. That's a plus for Trump. Assuming Trump doesn't say something really, REALLY outrageous, this comes down to a how much do you hate Hillary vote among independents.

The very image of power and energy.
Seriously? Because of his repetitive use of words like "amazing," "fantastic," "beautiful," "terrible," "great, "very honored," "extremely," "horrible," "terrific," "disaster," "disgusting," and so on? Yeah, the guy's got a lock on hyperbole.

Interesting post.

I will like to add that that the media has painted such an evil image of Trump to the masses, that if people watch a speech like yesterday and actually see that the guy makes sense in many of his initiatives, that many people will take him up on the offer. I don't agree with everything, personally, but he makes sense. And yes, shame to our previous governments, that we have to get to the point were a wall seems like a reasonable idea.

Trump showed yesterday that he will bulldoze Hilliarious in the debates.
