As for opinions, IMO horribly outdated GUIs are GUIs such as NT7 ones. Horribly to work with.
Why do you think NT is implementing tab view too for example after decades. Possibly because others were right many years before them.

Seriously elitetrader is becoming a bigger joke every new month. Full blown comedy show here.

Yeah WTF, amibroker's UI is both functional and beautiful.

If it has a problem, it's that they rolled their own programming language (ugh) and have no real options support. But it's honestly looks pretty good otherwise.
 
... But you behave as if you are the creator himself. Stop your agitation then we can talk. I praised the functionality of Ab so my only criticism would be re gui. Most apps in this space nowadays use a clean wpf ui or Java FX framework. It looks pretty apparent that AB us still on Windows Forms or worse, some antiquated C++ ui tool. If you like it, great. But most would probably content that It looks like 10-15 years old and dated. The symbol database is horrible to work with and unnecessarily complex in design. Changes in those areas would make the UI and UX look fresher and easier to work with. And yes, virtually all trading frontends aside Sierra look way better than AB.

If you ever worked as developer or read about software development then you would know that UI and UX hugely matter in today's time. You look to attract customers to your app, not dinosaurs (though dinosaurs are always a welcome niche clientele)

No, I am not. You and me don't even know the creator. So just stop it.

If you think that it looks like 10 to 15 years then even if it would be true it doesn't matter how it looks but it matters how much functional it is. And as the poster above you confirmed it is pretty damn functional. A joy to work with and I have worked with a lot of softwares.

Anyway it is your opinion but it's my opinion that your "look" opinion sucks and I just don't see it. Same goes for Sierra Chart. It's alright IMHO. Like I said in my previous message a GUI such as the one of Ninjatrader 7 is the real horror.

Because most successful traders don't trade off dom let alone charts. Anyone trading extremely short term price action and needs to trade the order book chooses very specialized tools such as xtrader and even that in my opinion is a flawed approach in today's hft markets.
