Almost the entire police force of small Missouri town resigns

Boy... the national liberal outrage machine is out in full force today - following the dictates of their masters to spew this story over & over again in thread after thread on every forum everywhere to generate the "outrage".

Despite the leftie assertions, the story has nothing to do about race. The lady ran on a platform to clean-up Parma and fire all the corrupt town employees. She was elected and all the employees immediately resigned. No surprise here. The police officers did not resign citing "safety concerns" - the other town employees resigned shortly after the police force resigned citing "safety concerns" (because there were no police officers). At least get your story correct.

Every time you turn around these days, important jobs with big civil authority are being filled by blacks, women, or black women... and in the vein of being "politically correct". Perhaps some folks are waking up to that fallacy.

Blacks are about 14% of the population, yet they hold what.. about 50% of the civil authority positions??

In the effort to be "PC", we've run amok and gone overboard.

All of these minorities are NOT "more/most qualified"... it's just Affirmative Action on steroids.

Blacks are "pissn' and moanin'" all across the country. Shoot, they never had it so good anywhere else in the world.

Whites are going to pc themselves to death given enough time.

I don't think that town will miss those cops. They could collect used smartphones, convert them to [very high resolution cloud based infrared capable if they want] security cams, sprinkle them all over and get all the criminals in no time... if they ever get the political will but that black government won't have a political will to cure crime while the majority of property owners are white... "can't understand why people quit" lol. Blacks don't go for the productivity, they go for the position of authority. Look at Africa. Psychopaths love positions of authority. The rate of psychopathy is 4x that of whites everywhere and I'm thinking that is the defining factor between the races. Psychopaths cut such a wide swath through humanity that a difference between 1 in 100 and 1 in 25 is enough to shift the life of an entire continent. Psychopaths tend to make people around them quasi psychopathic. So the upshot is, maybe we have a government that is gunning for white people? In Los Angeles the Mexican led government goes after white business owners like they were entitled to all of it. The whole San Fernando Valley is a Mexican shithole with ugly business signs in Spanish and dangly arm muscle guys with prison tattoos stroking their way around the streets. The buses don't stop for white people! I learned to hide and wait for Mexicans to start on the bus before I could get on. In South Africa they are simply cannibalizing what the whites built up over the years but they are marxists, you'd expect nothing less of them.

With the heat that cops have taken as of late, mainly white cops, remaining on the force under a black mayor is asking for trouble. All it takes is one run-in with a black criminal to ruin their life.

Despite the mainstream press pushing this story on a racism narrative, the reality is that it is probably a situation involving small town cronyism and corruption of the former administration (although I have now proof of this). The new mayor ran on a platform of "cleaning up" Parma - well now is her opportunity to have a free reign without supporters of the former mayor in place. Keep in mind from the news video the new mayor appears to have both white and black supporters. I expect over time more information will come out about what really went on in this small town and the recent election.

Residents of Parma, Missouri don't believe the resignations of the town's police chief and several officers was a result of voters electing the town's first black woman mayor, Tyus Byrd.

Parma, MO police officer who resigned speaks out
http://www.kfvs12.com/story/28861916/parma-mo-police-officer-who-resigned-speaks-out

PARMA, MO (KFVS) - As the national spotlight shines on Parma, Missouri, we are learning about why some police officers resigned.

We told you a week ago about a small community losing more than half of their officers and several city officials. On Tuesday, April 21, one of those officers is speaking out.

Parma residents told us they weren't worried about their safety after five of the six officers resigned, and that it wasn't necessary to have that many on staff for a city the size of Parma.

One thing both the newly elected mayor and the officer can agree on is that the issue has nothing to do with race or gender.

When we asked if she ever thought Parma, Mo. would reach national news, she said: "That's not my mission and it's still not in this way."

A week into office, Mayor Tyrus Byrd is still unclear about the "safety concerns" some of the former officials cited in the resignation to former Mayor Randall Ramsey.

One officials said off camera that race is the furthest thing from it.

"If I was going to lose my job anyways, I might as well start looking," said the officer.

The former officer claimed the safety concerns were in reference to some of Mayor Byrd's family members using social media to show how they plan to act now that she is in office.

"These posts were made by people that had active warrants through our city, and they were claiming it is now safe to return to Parma now that they have family that's the mayor now," he said.

Mayor Byrd said none of that is true.

"Not giving special treatment to anyone at all...everyone gets treated the same," she said.

Now, she's focusing on moving forward.

"I don't have to be here, but I love being here and I love this town," she said.

The mayor and city council plan to have a meeting on Tuesday night, April 21 to discuss the replacement of the officers and city officials.

According to the USA Today article today, the new mayor's family is a bunch of criminals that intimidates and harasses to police officers.

Cops in small Missouri town greet black mayor with resignations
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/04/21/missouri-town-resignations/26111003/

The new mayor of tiny Parma has a rebuilding job on her hands after most of the southeastern Missouri town's employees celebrated her election by quitting their jobs.

Tyus Byrd, 40, was sworn in April 14 and immediately had to deal with the resignation of five of six police officers, including the chief. The city attorney, city clerk and wastewater treatment manager also said goodbye to the town of 700 people, all citing "safety concerns."

A stunned Byrd, who is black, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch she had no idea what those concerns were.

"I don't understand," Byrd told the newspaper. "I never said anything about cleaning house. ... Am I the safety concern?"

The Post-Dispatch cites an incident about a month before the April 7 election. A white, part-time officer investigating prank phone calls to the police department used a stun gun on a black teen — a relative of Byrd's — who had declined to discuss the case. There was a mild protest, but it died down.

Rich Medley, who quit as assistant chief, told the Post-Dispatch that he and officers had run-ins with many of Byrd's relatives.

In an interview Tuesday with Vocativ, Medley said the interactions "led me to believe the newly elected mayor would either not allow me to do my job as required by law, or pursue disciplinary action on me of some sort when I did."

He said neither race nor gender played a role in his decision to resign.

"If it was about race, I wouldn't have served the town of Parma," he said, noting that nearly half the town is African American. He also said his former boss is a woman.

He called accusations that he and the others are racist or sexist "appalling" and "personally offensive."

"A person is a person, whether they are a man or woman, white, black, yellow, brown, pink or purple," he said.

Byrd defeated Randall Ramsey, a 78-year-old white man who has served 36 years as mayor, including the last 24. It didn't take many votes to win — the final tally was 122-84. Still, that was a high turnout for the town, which is about 60% white, 40% black.

Some Parma-area residents dismissed race as an issue, instead citing the need for change in an economically depressed town.

"There was absolutely no racism that had anything to do with this," Barry Aycock, a white former alderman, told the Associated Press. "We had an election, it's over, and we're all supporting the new mayor and moving forward."

Louis Nelson, a black 69-year-old retired railroad foreman, agreed. He told AP that Ramsey is a "nice guy" who "talked to me like a man and treated me like a man," but that Byrd was also smart and kind.

"It was just time for a change," he told AP.

Even Ramsey apparently thinks it might have been time for him to move on.

"You wear out your welcome," he told the Post-Dispatch. "Or stay too long sometimes."

Small time criminals. Too small time to be involved in any government other than a tiny town. Maybe they are part of a trial training program for new members of Congress, sort of like an internship.
