Maybe the new mayor is exactly what the town needs, maybe not. Maybe the new mayor has minimal involvement with the criminal side of her family, but somehow I doubt it.
Based on the information we have now, I don't blame the police officers for quitting. From the perspective of the new mayor, this is an opportunity to appoint people to positions that support her agenda. We will see how things work out. All I can say the national media pushing this as a racial issue was totally off base, it is obviously just a situation of small town politics and families.
