I gave you the benefice of doubt about a shuttle hardly anybody uses -if one needs to fly to the area to go to HK, they fly to HK, not SZ - but I've been to BaoAn, didn't get a camera sticked to my face -
The 3 landcrossings into HK are the busiest on this planet, please feel free to verify that. Now, there are 3 places people come to access those crossings, one is SZ locals taking a shuttle bus, another is non-local PRC who made it to Luohu station and cross nearby, and then there is all the others who arrive at BaoAn and either take a ferry to HK from the nearby pier or hop onto a shuttle bus to go through one of the land crossings. Either way, saying hardly anyone uses it proves you have no clue. I told you I only went to SZ a very few times but its not a secret to anyone that those are the world's busiest border crossings and that not "just a few" peruse shuttle buses from BaoAn airport. Each time you board a bus at the airport, right before departure an "official" enters the bus with a video camera and sticks it 10-20 cm close to each passenger's face. Same story at the ferry terminal near BaoAn. And same story when you walk inside the airport. Maybe you should ask your HK local friends, if you have any, they would certainly know better than you appear to know. Does that bother me? It dot not destroy my day but I reserve the right to push away the fucking camera and have no issue arguing my case (it does not hurt that I speak Mandarin, Cantonese, aside Japanese, English, and German). If you let others treat you like a North Korean spy and only start speaking up when your pants are down and you bent over backward to get raped then that is your own choice. But please grant others exercising their own freedom and rights.
I will there again soon actually, will report - they do have cctv in China and know how to fix a camera on the walls and ceiling.
What shuffle are you talking about in SZ as well ? It's not like the government is very open to demonstrations and public unrest over there ? (for the better if you ask me )
They have cameras everywhere and you know that, more so, concentration wise, than in any other country or city outside of China. London or NYC or HK have way less CCTV spots than any major PRC city.
But you pass security at airports trying to hide your face ? Do you get extra points from your candle holding friends for that ? Yes you might end up getting arrested, it sounds logical
You know, you do not need to falsify statements just because you don't agree with that. I thought that set you apart from the likes of Tsingtao. I think I made pretty clear I am not talking about immigration, customs, or border patrol. I am talking about the time you already passed all those checkpoints and hop onto shuttle buses at BaoAn airport; the publicly accessible places. If you still do not believe me then that is fine and you are welcome to verify but saying it is wrong without knowing appears ridiculous, would you not think so?

I picked up what? No, I observe with open eyes. I have nothing against PRC, but I am realistic about the ridiculous propaganda games they are playing. I am also realistic about the money that flew into Hong Kong prior to the corruption crackdowns (which are not sincere anyway but nonetheless stifled trade): This is the only reason right now shops are closing, to my pleasure I see tons of jewelry shops shutting down, watch shops disappearing, simply because many of the corrupt officials with their 18/19 year old mistresses or their princelings do not dare to make a splash in Hong Kong. Without their money most jewelry stores are doomed and that is something I like. Finally space for others businesses and potentially a break in the exorbitant store front rents.

Once we agree that male tourists get raped and butchered, while their wives and kids are cooked in boiling Olive Oil during their Mykonos holidays, before beeing exported as refined feta cheese to start paying for civil servant pensions there, then it's fair stating in SZ muggings are a problem, police jumps on locals and foreigners with a hand camera every few blocs, and the mainland chinese are retards compared to their HK side brethens.

Not what I said or ever suggested. But I find it funny how you almost shit your pants about a few protests that were incredibly peaceful (Occupy Central) and a free scuffles here and there during the current anti-parallel trader protests and go ballistic because a few roads were blocked in central and now try to convince me/us that Shenzhen is a safer and more enjoyable place to be than Hong Kong. Have fun in Shenzhen, I hope that one single place you could come up with in Shenzhen won't get boring for you.
Maybe your time in finance here in HK is counted and its time to pack the suitcase and fare back to good old France? But I bet you love taxes here, don't you? I come across your likes here in HK every day, expats who complain about everything under the sun in HK, bad medical care, bad schooling, bad food, bad this bad that, bad demonstrations, bad local work attitudes. Yet, they are all here, guess why. To make the dime. Well, then I would suggest to make the best out of the experience here, would you not agree? Its fucking ridiculous of Gweilos to bitch about couple road blocks and those who demonstrate for more democracy and freedom, the same democracy and freedom that bought them their 15% income tax rates and relatively comfortable life styles relative to those having to put up with living in Beijing or Shanghai or the like. It is a pathetic attitude and thankless. Like a woman bitching about female protestesters who stood up for women's rights.
