Hey, is Alaric trader any good for a short biased small cap trader?
What are locates availability and fees?
Thank you!
Have traded limited , but no issues so far ,they have decent ETB as they have mesntioned , fills are smooth with lots of options , however Hammer platform is not suitable for daytrading , its cheap and if u plan to trade only one ot 2 stocks per day its fine over that if u have to change symbols quickly its a struggle as weidly u have to press a manual refresh button to get data for the symbol. I was told options they have stopped for the moment to get a betetr service provider dont know if they have started back again. Apart from a little hassles earlier , customer support is quick to answer and resolve any issues.Plassma, How is your trading experience so far with Alaric, Would like to know about fills customer service or any problems you have encountered
Thanks
Sam
Plassma - thanks for the feedback. Appreciate the thumbs up. Options are coming in VERY shotly: by end of September. As for Hammer, it is actually a good platform for day traders. The issue you are mentioning has been addressed. The issue was that Hammer was sending down to the user 100,000 lines of Level 2 data. This was clogging the system. Now you will see a user-friendly 100 lines (more than enough). This freeded up the issue. Was a mere fine tuning. Hope this helps.Have traded limited , but no issues so far ,they have decent ETB as they have mesntioned , fills are smooth with lots of options , however Hammer platform is not suitable for daytrading , its cheap and if u plan to trade only one ot 2 stocks per day its fine over that if u have to change symbols quickly its a struggle as weidly u have to press a manual refresh button to get data for the symbol. Hey,
Does Alaric have any limitations on low liquidity and meme stocks?
You can surely send orders via API. This is separate from Hammer. There’s documentation on how to do that. The Trading API is live and kicking. As for the HTB’s: not sure what you are asking so please explain. However if you are asking if HTBs can be “recycled”/“reused” - no. If a stock is HTB and you get a locate and short it, and subsequently cover the short, you have to get a new locate if you want to short it again. Hope this answers your question. Best!Does the New hammer platform have an API that could let you execute orders with a script? have the Hammer platform been update to locate shares on the platform? Once we're done with the HTB shares can we sell them back to the market in a similar way to Trade Zero?
