Al Gore - Democratic Party candidate in 2008.

Quote from TM_Direct:

Yeah, libs never do this...they wouldn't say things that might, i don't know, help embolden the enemy in Iraq??? Nah....that doesn't happen.

Are you refering to McCain's "wasted lives" comment or Hagel's call for withdrawal within 6 months? I didn't know they were both "libs."

Where you watching when the Challenger blew up after take off?

Kind of reminds you of Al Gore's politcal career doesn't it?

I have yet to see a single condemnation of this post from the right wingers. That includes the fake captain. You've never attacked a right winger before. Now it's your chance to show that you're really in the middle.

There have been a couple of posts defending this idiot. Shows you the republican's twisted sense of morality.

I must agree that your acessment of the current situation in right on. However, as we move closer to people actually having to pull the lever for a Gore/Obama ticket, well, I just don't see that happening. Richardson is the best bet for a Dem victory, as was Gephart in 04. As screwed up as the repubs are, a dem victory should be a no brainer, as it should have been in 04, but the country won't go radical left. Bad as things are now, we all know what a radical left administration brings us.....massive unemployment as the result of higher taxes and intrusive government regulation into industry. A Gore/Obama team will throw this country into a depression and everyone knows it. My vote is for Richardson at this point. Should the lefties drive him out I'll probably have to abstain.

"A Gore/Obama team will throw this country into a depression and everyone knows it." LOL. Thats a keeper of a quote. Anyone know of a depression that resulted from raising taxes. Good luck finding one, it doesn't exist.

Clinton raised taxes in the 90's and GDP took off, the markets rallied, unemployment went to historical lows. Any tax hike by Democrats would be on the upper income people which would have no impact on the economy and go towards balancing the budget.

A better ticket would be Clinton/Gore ticket. Bring back Robert Rubin in the treasury to get China to float their currency. Its clear the Chinese like the rest of the world have no respect for Republicans, well except for the terrorists who get their American made weapons from Pentagon surplus sales.

right...the dems never said anything during the elections about 'getting us out of Iraq" or that we were losing ect....

BTW..What color is the sky in your world?

A. You're deluding yourself if you think the next tax hike will be on the rich only.
B. More importantly, you conveniently leave out my comment on intrusive government regulation into industry. Gore has his way, his policies would all but cripple American industry on a scope to broad it would prevent them from being competitive at any level while operating on U.S. soil.
Smirk now, should a Gore like candidate enter the office of President we'll all be wishing for the good old days of George Bush fucking up a war. That's how bad it'll get.

Are you suggesting that it's ok if McCain says it, but if "libs" say the same thing it's "embolden the enemy?"

Typical Republican logic.

Gee, I found one. And it wasn't hard either, if you just do the barest of research.
from wikepedia on the great depression---"Most historians and economists assign the American Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of 1930 part of the blame for worsening the depression by seriously reducing international trade and causing retaliatory regulations in other countries."

Guess you get your economic insight from Keith Olberman.

Huh? The question was whether rasing taxes would cause a depression. You provided a quote that trade tariffs caused the great depression. What are you drinking/smoking?

No im not suggesting that...Im saying BOTH sides do the same thing...talk out of both sides of their mouth...if you can't see this, you may want to take off those rose colored glasses your wearing.
